Pumps are used to move ink around the ink delivery system. Smooth and reliable ink flow is essential to deliver the consistent high-quality print output required by the inkjet industry. If pulsation exists it can result in undesirable pressure fluctuations at the printhead and changes in the flow of ink throughout the system. Pulsation can also damage sensitive inks, cause higher energy consumption, and result in more wear and tear on system components. Working together with specialists in the inkjet industry, KNF engineers have developed low-pulsation, smooth-flow pump technology for ink delivery systems. This presentation further discusses why pulsation is an issue, compares the new technology to traditional diaphragm and gear pumps, and the applicability of the new technology to inkjet printing.

Why has progress in the industrial space been incremental, what obstacles must be overcome, and which applications have the most potential? Join Napco Media’s Steve Duccilli as he conducts a panel discussion with two experts to discuss the segment and its future.
